Internet: Enabling Global Human Consciousness

Before humans invented the most simple tools for communication, we had little more than our legs and lungs with which to connect and communicate. Now, in our era of satellites, Internet and ever-smarter devices, we can reach and converse with each other as deeply as our brains can imagine, as far as our planes can fly and as fast as our latest, smartest devices can facilitate our conversations. Whether the points conveyed generate conscious, consummate benefits for all—or unconscious disagreement, belligerence and even suicide—is our supremely practical question at hand.

One can see that the Internet is transforming both time and space. All search engines in the world have the ability to capture the essence of what is referred to as a global human consciousness. The Internet has become a place for humans to unite worldwide. The word humans has become agreeable across the world. Chevron and Microsoft are among a growing number of corporations employing human for commercial campaigns (see Welcoming All Humans at HumanUnity.org).

Does this relate to our potential for coming together as humans? As the world of smart technology lifts Global Human Consciousness at all points human, can we agree we are all humans? Focusing on our agreements, can we see our natural, empirical lives and path for ensuring the security and wholeness of all our lives and environments on Earth? The answer would seem as simple as opening our eyes to ourselves—and to our fellow humans wherever on Earth.
